| Saxony and Russia put on an inserted cooperation in the aviation industry |

In the week of 22th to 26th March 2010 visited Alexey Fedorov, president of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and other representatives of the Russian aviation consortium, the Free State of Saxony. At the invitation of Prime Minister of Saxony Stanislaw Tillich, that emerged from a first meeting in April 2009 during a visit to Russia of the Prime Minister in Moscow, agreed to an extension to the already existing cooperation. Especially the cooperation in strategic technology fields should be expanded. At the end of the visit of Alexey Fedorov, Professor Wilhelm Hanel, Chairman of the Center for Aerospace and Space Technology Saxony / Thuringia, and Alexey Fedorov signed an agreement for closer cooperation on scientific and technical level. The existing cooperation between the UAC and the Saxon State Ministry of Economy, Labour and Transport in the substantial participation of Aerospace Initiative Saxony (ASIS), the updated since the end of 2009 a working group with some 20 topic areas and about 20 Saxon companies and research institutions will therefore continue be deepened. At the same period, held discussions at this working group "UAC - Saxony, led by Michael Muth, Managing Director of ASIS from the Saxon side, took part next to UAC and the various partners in Saxony from the ASIS network other Russian companies, prominent institutions and universities. |
