ASIS booth at the MAKS - International Aviation and Space Salon 2009 in Moscow

The Saxon network initiative for aerospace ASIS organized a stand with five companies from Saxony for international air show MAKS from 18th to 23th August 2009 in Moscow. Other companies are invited to attend fair and stand.

The sensor manufacturer ADZ Nagano from Ottendorf-Okrilla, the training and quality management in the aerospace oriented AeroAcademy Dresden, established in Moritzburg, the ILK Institute of Lightweight Structures and Polymer Technology of the Technical University Dresden, the exercise test specialist IMA Material Research and Application Technology GmbH Dresden and precision machine tool manufacturer MIKROMAT GmbH, are from 18th to 23th August at the booth by ASIS organized at the Russian Aviation and Space Show MAKS, held at the Moscow airport Zhukovsky every two years.

"Also or even in difficult times fairs are a good forum for the performance and innovation capability to present our Saxon economy, "said Economic and Labour Minister Thomas Jurk, who was  with a large business delegation for the sixth time in Russia in April." One focus of the trip was aerospace technology. This is what we make now in Moscow. Our joint initiative supports the aerospace companies to develop new growth areas abroad."

"The MAKS is a good opportunity to enter the Russian market, in order to maintain existing contacts, "says the Managing Director of ASIS, Michael Muth. Therefore, the Dresden company Mikromat is that until the end of May with the Saxony Economic Development on the Engineering Fair Metalloobrabotka was, where it has tied its first links with Russian aviation and space companies. According to the organizers at the recent Fair 2007 about 725 000 visitors were recorded, of which 155 000 trade visitors. They visit 787 exhibitors, 247 from more than 30 countries. They presented airspace and airport equipment, engineering, safety and space technology. The "show part" of the exhibition includes numerous flight demonstrations. Companies which are considering to visit to the MAKS should register at the ASIS, by June 16 2009.

The initiative ASIS was established in April 2008 and should to develop a strategic network for companies, research institutes and educational institutions and to increase cooperation and development projects for innovation, productivity and export intensity for the Saxon aerospace companies. On behalf of the Saxon Ministry of Economy, Labour and Transport  as the leading organizations act the Competence Center of Aerospace and SpaceTechnology Saxony / Thuringia (LRT) and the GWT-TUD GmbH
