Successful performance of the ASIS to the AVIASVIT-XXL in Kiev

Ukraine has a very competent aerospace industry, which is integrated into various international projects. Its institutes and universities can also point to significant international research and development results. Names such as Antonov and the Paton Institute are internationally known. The same applies to the satellite and launch vehicle market.

The presentation of the Saxon aerospace industry through the participation of ASIS at the7. International Fair „Aviasvit-XXL" (30th Sep -04th Oct 2010) in Kiev, Ukraine opened great possibilities for future cooperation projects between Saxon and Ukrainian companies and instituts. This is based on the Cooperation agreement between the National Aviation University in Kiev and ASIS. The content of cooperation is in addition to topics on innovative materials and the application of satellite navigation signals also experiences and networking between science and economic development in Saxony and the Ukraine.

The Fair „Aviasvit-XXL" has produced a strong interest in both Ukrainian and international companies, research institutions and professional disciplinary publishers. With 250 exhibitors from 32 countries and more than 250,000 visitors was this year's fair a success.

Aerospace industry which were presented for example by the Ukrainian National Space Agency and by the Japanese Aerospace Association  and also by products of generally, transport and civil aviation. The participating companies presented the wide range of products: cable, glass and paint production  up to production of equipment for aerospace, radar and space technology. In addition, the National Aviation University, Kharkov Aviation Institute, the Kiev Polytechnic Institute and the Institute of Metal Physics present the current research in areas of avionics, materials and  strength problems of structures in aircraft.
